Same-Day Relief for Urgent Dental Concerns
Dental emergencies often happen without warning, leading to pain, discomfort, or visible damage. At Dr. Saima Shora Dentistry, we provide same-day emergency care for urgent issues such as severe toothaches, chipped or broken teeth, lost fillings or crowns, and facial swelling. Prompt treatment helps prevent complications, reduce pain, and preserve your smile. Our experienced team evaluates each situation quickly and thoroughly. We will walk you through your treatment options, clearly explain what to expect, and take steps to stabilize your condition. Whether the issue is caused by injury, infection, or a damaged restoration, we are here to provide efficient and compassionate care in a calm, supportive setting.
Common Emergencies We Treat
Urgent Dental Issues That Need Immediate Attention
Dental emergencies vary in severity, but all deserve prompt evaluation. Some of the most common situations we address include:
- Persistent or severe toothaches
- Cracked, chipped, or broken teeth
- Knocked-out or dislodged teeth
- Swelling of the face or gums
- Lost crowns or fillings
- Broken braces or wires
- Gum injuries or bleeding
Even if the pain feels manageable, delaying care can result in more serious complications. Our team works quickly to assess and treat the problem, restoring both comfort and function.
What to Do Before You Arrive
Temporary Relief While You Get to Our Office
If you are experiencing a dental emergency and cannot reach us immediately, here are a few tips:
- For toothaches, rinse your mouth with warm salt water and apply a cold compress to the outside of your cheek.
- For a chipped or broken tooth, save any pieces, rinse gently, and cover the area with gauze if bleeding.
- If a tooth is knocked out, hold it by the crown (not the root), rinse it gently, and try to place it back into the socket. If not possible, store it in a container of milk.
- For a lost crown or filling, place sugarless gum or dental cement over the exposed area to protect the tooth.
- For broken orthodontic wires, cover any sharp edges with orthodontic wax or a cotton ball.
These steps can help reduce pain and prevent further damage until you're seen by our team.
