DENTAL CROWNS AND DENTAL BRIDGES

Restore Damaged and Missing Teeth with Confidence

Restorative dentistry helps bring back your natural smile and supports long-term oral health. At Dr. Saima Shora Dentistry, we use trusted techniques like dental crowns and bridges to restore damaged teeth or replace those that are missing. These treatments not only improve appearance but also preserve alignment, reduce plaque buildup, and support overall bite function. Whether you are dealing with a cracked tooth or a gap in your smile, our custom restorations are designed to look natural and feel comfortable.

Dental Crowns

Durable Protection for Weakened or Damaged Teeth

A dental crown is a custom-made cover that fits over a tooth that is cracked, decayed, or otherwise weakened. It restores the tooth’s shape, strength, and function while blending in with your natural smile. Most modern crowns are made with white-based ceramic, with zirconia ceramics offering excellent strength and durability. Porcelain-layered zirconia crowns are often recommended for their natural appearance and strong mechanical properties.

The procedure typically involves two to three visits over a few weeks. It includes numbing the tooth, removing decay, reshaping the surface, and fitting a temporary crown. Once the permanent crown is ready, it is cemented in place and adjusted for comfort and function.

Dental Bridges

Replace Missing Teeth and Restore Function

Dental bridges are fixed restorations used to replace one or more missing teeth. They are made from high-quality materials such as porcelain, alloys, or a combination, and are designed to match the look of your natural teeth. Bridges help restore normal chewing, speaking, and facial structure, while also keeping surrounding teeth from shifting out of place.

Each bridge includes one or more artificial teeth called pontics, supported by crowns or implants. We offer several types of dental bridges depending on your needs:

  • Traditional Fixed Bridge – The most common type, anchored with crowns on both sides of the gap.
  • Resin-Bonded Bridge – Often used for front teeth, bonded to the back of adjacent teeth with a porcelain or metal winged framework.
  • Implant-Supported Bridge – Surgically supported by dental implants and ideal for multiple missing teeth.
  • Cantilever Bridge – Used when there is only one adjacent natural tooth available for support.
